Deactivating the  Software

Sometimes users notice the “Deactivate License” button in Settings and wonder why it exists or when to use it. This option is designed to protect your license and data whenever you change systems, upgrade your OS, or simply no longer need the software on a particular device.

Why Deactivation Is Important

Deactivation ensures that your license remains valid and portable, allowing you to safely transfer it to another system without conflicts. It also helps maintain security by removing license traces and sensitive files from your old computer.

Common Reasons for Deactivation

  • 01
Switching to a new computer – You’re upgrading or replacing your existing machine.
  • 02
Reinstalling or upgrading your operating system – You need to reset or update your OS.
  • 03
Transferring your license – You want to activate the software on another system.
  • 04
Freeing up license count – To reset your activation limit and reuse your key.
  • 05
No longer using this computer – You’re discontinuing use of the app on this device.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Deactivation

  • 01
Take a full backup of your latest data before deactivating — you’ll need this file to restore everything on another computer.
  • 02
🌐 Ensure an active internet connection during deactivation — the app verifies your license online to confirm release.
  • 03
Deactivation will permanently remove your license, session, and database files from this device.
  • 04
You won’t be able to use the software again on this computer unless you reactivate it with a valid license.
  • 05
Keep your purchase email safe — it will be required for reactivation on the new system.

Note for Regular Reinstalls

You don’t need to deactivate if you’re only uninstalling and reinstalling on the same computer, as long as you don’t check “Delete all data” or “Erase all data” during uninstall. If that box is checked, your local files will be deleted even without deactivation.
